Collection

The library has over 50,000 volumes and 120 current journal subscriptions. In addition we have a range of audiovisual materials and a collection of newspapers and governmental records on microfilm and -fiche.

Our collection covers the following main topics: History of the Jewish people; anti-Semitism; persecution and genocide; national-socialism; racism; neonazism; culture of rememberance and coming to terms with NS past after 1945; educational materials suitable for use in memorial sites.

A large proportion of the collection is in a language other than German.

The library is available to both individuals and participants of seminars organised by the House of the Wannsee Conference. We can also offer advice on the creation of subject-specific reading lists, as required.

A combination of the electronic catalogue and the databases on offer (Conditions and Politics in Occupied West Europe, 1940-1945; Post war Europe: refugees, exile and resettlement, 1945 - 1950; Nationalsozialismus, Holocaust, Widerstand und Exil 1933-1945; Tagesrapporte der Gestapo-Leitstelle Wien; Testaments to the Holocaust; Central and Eastern European online library (C.E.E.O.L)) facilitate comprehensive literature searches and enable efficient research.

The library has study spaces for groups and individuals, computers for research, two microfiche/-film readers and two photocopiers.
